Mechanical Design and Drafting

EMS PowerPak is a system for 3-D design and drafting of mechanical partsand assemblies. The system provides fully associative, parametric, andvariational solid modeling, including freeform design and featureplacement. Drawings are bidirectional associative so that changes in thedrawing are reflected in the model and vice-versa. Features include:Foundation (separately available), variational geometry and dimensiondriven solids models, user programming language (PPL), andMicroStation/IGDS Translator; Advanced Features (separately available),3-D reference files and user-defined feature/part libs, section and massproperties, and rounding of solid models; Freeform (separatelyavailable), nonuniform rational B-Splines (NURBS), andoffset/skinned/lofted/blend surfaces and solids; Detailing (separatelyavailable), drafting and associative dimensioning, and automatic viewlayout; and DXF Translator (separately available). EMS PowerPak is afunctionally equivalent replacement for I/EMS.
